1. What is the Indonesia Electronic Customs Declaration (e-CD)?
The Electronic Customs Declaration (e-CD) is a mandatory digital declaration system implemented by Indonesia's Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Direktorat Jenderal Bea dan Cukai). It replaced the physical paper customs declaration form (BC 2.2) across all Indonesian international airports, including: - Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) - Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) - Surabaya Juanda International Airport (SUB)
Advisory Notice: AMG Visa is an independent visa consultancy in Islamabad and is not an entity of the Indonesian Government. The official e-CD is free and provided by Bea Cukai on `ecd.beacukai.go.id`.
2. Who Must Complete the e-CD?
Every passenger arriving in Indonesia on an international flight must complete the e-CD. - One primary traveler can submit one declaration for the entire family traveling on the same itinerary. - You must hold a valid Indonesian visa (such as an approved e-VOA or consular tourist visa 211A) in addition to the customs declaration.
3. The 3-Day Submission Window & Portal Guide
The portal (`ecd.beacukai.go.id`) opens for registrations 3 days before your flight's scheduled arrival date in Indonesia.
Step 1: Fill Passenger Data

Step 5: Foreign Phone IMEI Registration (If Applicable)

For standard tourist visits under 90 days, you can purchase temporary tourist SIMs at airport kiosks without paying customs IMEI import duty.
